Puzzle Rush gives you a set time limit to solve as many puzzles as possible before three misses end the run. Your result is a raw count, not a Glicko rating — there's no "opponent" puzzle to gain or lose points against, just a personal best to beat.

Puzzle Battle works similarly but head-to-head: each player gets three minutes to solve as many puzzles as they can without three wrong answers, and whoever solves more wins. It carries its own separate rating, distinct from both standard Puzzle rating and Puzzle Rush scores.

Think of it like a Queens puzzle: solving one slowly and correctly is a different skill than solving five under a countdown timer. Both matter, but they're not the same test — so they shouldn't share the same number.

Rough Benchmarks: Is Your Puzzle Rating Good?
